Boston Piano - Tyneside Piano Company
Steinway Pianos are unrivalled in quality and set the industry standard for touch, sound and beauty. Each piano can take up to a year to handcraft which means each is unique and a real investment piece.
However, the favoured Piano for concert pianist is out of reach for most people, which is why Steinway introduced the moderately priced Boston piano – just one of the many ranges on offer at Tyneside Piano Company.
The company's success can be traced back to the founding principles set down by Henrich Engelhard Steinway.
He wanted to build the best pianos possible – "Built to a standard, not a price." "Make no compromise in quality," and "Strive always to improve the instrument."
With these 3 values Steinway &Son have flourished in the musical world and have over 125 registered patents so far, a great deal more than their closest competitor.
Heinrich Engelhard Steinway, a German immigrant founded the Steinway & Sons Piano Company in 1853. The New York based company is a joint American and German manufacturer of hand crafted pianos.
The company grew in the late 19th Century thanks to the tradesman's who worked at their first factory in Astoria, Queens, building upon the success state side a second factory was founded at Hamburg in Germany.
Over 5,000 Boston piano instruments are built at the Kawai factory in Hamamatsu, Japan each year. A Boston piano will carry the same quality as a Steinway but marketed at a much lower price offering everyone a slice of the magic.
There are five models in the Boston Grand Piano range and three Boston uprights, all available in a wide range of colours and finishes – all of which are available for purchase at Tyneside Piano Company in Ashington, near Newcastle.
